I was setting up an MG42 to ward off some Allies. It took me forever to tote the barrel and the mounts to the position. I had to put everything together with my hands. Carrying so much ammo killed my back and rested long after the machine gun was set up. We were attacked soon after they were set up. I was, of course, sent to the Machine gun. I was spraying and mowing down Allies. Midway through the fighting it fell apart. Great German engineering at it's best. I saw a dead Fallschrimjager that was running an MG34. It'd work for now. I ran to it and started spraying that. Soon the Allies were at a breaking point and had given up. We never take POWs, we just mow them down with more spraying. We had lost five men, yet it was worth it since we took out hundreds of Allies.
